Father wanted to kill his daughter (28) in Sattel SZ
It is now clear what triggered the large police operation in Sattel SZ tonight. After midnight, a 54-year-old tried to kill his 28-year-old daughter. The woman suffered life-threatening injuries. The alleged perpetrator was arrested by the Schwyz canton police at the scene of the crime, as they say.
The alleged perpetrator is a German who, like his daughter, has his official residence in the house, as Florian Grossmann, spokesman for the Schwyz cantonal police, said at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency. Whether other people could have been in the building is the subject of the investigation.
The police had carried out a major operation early Tuesday morning in a residential area in Sattel. One house was cordoned off, one street blocked. The reason for this was initially unclear.
Police moved out because of the noise
Grossmann said a report was received from the neighborhood of the house after 1 a.m. A police patrol stopped by.
The police found the seriously injured woman in the house. She was taken care of by the rescue service on site and then because of her life-threatening injuries the air ambulance flown to a special clinic outside the canton.
With reference to the ongoing investigation, the police spokesman made no information about the type of injuries or the instrument used. The circumstances and the course of events of the violent crime would now be investigated by the canton police and the public prosecutor’s office. (sda)
