Saško alone in front of bTV: an emotional encounter with the 12-year-old boy and his father

Only on bTV a special meeting with 12-year-old Sashko, survived nine days in the mountains above Pernik. The child was found six days ago and has been in “Pirogov” ever since. From there he spoke to bTV and Ivelina Dragneva for the first time.

Twelve-year-old Alexander is getting better. Now he is even walking along the corridors of the children’s ward of “Pirogov”, he has also found new friends among the little patients there. His father calls his son a fighter and his rescuers heroes.

You are happy?

– Yes Yes Yes

Happy and with a big smile. This is how Alexander looks today, two weeks after all trace of him was lost near the Prophylactorium in Pernik. The child united thousands of Bulgarians. For nine days and eight nights, police, hunting dogs, divers, mountaineers, thousands of volunteers were ashore.

And Sashko was saved. Now he is being looked after by the best specialists of “Pirogov”. His father is always by his side. Today he stood in front of our camera to express his gratitude for him.

“I am absolutely and enormously grateful to everyone. I am the happiest person in the world because my child has been found and I am absolutely grateful to those thousands of people who have not stopped looking for him in these nine days. They have left their families, the their work, everything and simply this baby is their baby too. These wonderful men with huge souls, Milko and Vesco, saved our lives and gave my life back, I can’t thank them enough,” he said.

Alexander calls his son a unifier, and the happy outcome is not a miracle, but the result of joint efforts.

“The name Alexander means defender of faith, warrior of faith, I can rather say he is a warrior of faith by restoring our faith in goodness, compassion, caring for each other,” his father told BTV.

We spoke several times on the phone, you said “No time, no time.” Have you lost hope?

I had a gut feeling that he was alive. This has kept me going all this time not to stop, just not to stop.

From here on, Sashko and her father just want her to make a full recovery and go home.

“He is already getting out of bed, yesterday he entered the room, today he walked in the corridor, met the children who are in the corridor, in the ward. He is already smiling, in a much better mood, he has books and notebooks in which he writes down various things,” added Alexander Tsvetanov.

It is expected that 12-year-old Alexander will be discharged from “Pirogov” in the coming days. Today we asked Sashko’s father and if there is still any doubt that his son has been kidnapped. He replied that an investigation was underway and could not comment on the versions. The investigation into the case continues.
