Heslop was last seen aboard his girlfriend’s catamaran off the coast of Saint John’s Island – one of the US Virgin Islands in the Caribbean – on March 7.
The couple had dinner on land earlier this evening. Then they must have returned to the boat to go to bed, according to the girlfriend’s explanation. At 02.30 local time, he reported his girlfriend missing.
The police have for several months carried out extensive searches for the missing 41-year-old, without success. Now a bounty is promised to those who come up with tips that can help solve the mystery.
Promises bounty
The last time before the disappearance, Heslop lived on her boyfriend’s catamaran, where she is said to have worked as a hostess on trips for private customers, writes The Independent.
Both family and friends have asked the police to assure them that they are doing everything in their power to find out what happened.
Heslop’s friends now promise a bounty of 10,000 pounds – close to 120,000 Norwegian kroner – for information that can help the police find the 41-year-old.
– Even the smallest, seemingly irrelevant, details can actually be valuable, so we ask everyone to contact the police immediately if they remember something or something unusual the night before March 8, says Heslop’s group of friends in a statement according to the newspaper.

Found corpse
On May 19, a body was found on the island of Saint Croix, about 65 kilometers from the island where Heslop was last seen. A spokesperson for the police in the Virgin Islands, Toby Derima, has stated in a statement that it was a woman’s body that was found.
However, the body did not match Heslop’s skin color, and the police can therefore rule out that it is the missing 41-year-old who has been found, Derima says according to The Independent.
The search thus continues in full, and several American FBI agents are now assisting the local police in the investigation of Heslop’s disappearance.
Heslop’s girlfriend has always refused to cooperate with the police.

Shortly after he reported the woman missing, he hired a lawyer. Following advice from the lawyer, he has invoked the right not to be questioned. In addition, he refuses the investigators to search the boat, writes BBC.
The police have kept the cards close to their chests regarding the investigation, but have previously confirmed that they have investigated the explanation the girlfriend gave when he reported her missing the night of March 8. Police still do not know whether the 41-year-old actually returned to the boat after dinner earlier that evening.

In an attempt to map Heslop’s movements, the police have also investigated surveillance images from the island, but this has not given the police any clues in the disappearance case, writes The Telegraph.
