Samsung hopes to reach 10 million units sold next year

The trend of smartphones with folding screens is growing year after year and gives Samsung a step ahead of the fiercely competitive smartphone market.

Almost alone to be able to align regular ranges, he has seen the interest of the public for its mobile devices of a new kind to the point of having difficulty meeting the demand this year on the models. Galaxy Z Fold 3 and especially Galaxy Z Flip 3.

The goal of 7 million smartphones with foldable screens should be reached and, already, the company hopes to do better next year. According to the Korean publication The Elec, the world leader hopes to reach 10 million units in 2022 with the future Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 which he will no doubt present again during the summer by enhancing their features.

At the same time, Samsung expects the delivery of 38 millions Galaxy S22 series smartphones next year, as well as nearly 10 million Galaxy S21 FE, which are due in January and February 2022.

For its part, the mid-range Galaxy A series will still represent the bulk of smartphone sales with a forecast of 78 million units delivered.

However, 2022 should see the arrival of new players ready to try their luck in the field of smartphones with foldable screens. If Xiaomi has unveiled a first model (but not available internationally), manufacturers like Oppo or Honor could be unveiled soon.
