‘Samsung Galaxy Buds Live earplugs with active noise cancellation cost 190 euros’ – Image and sound – News

Specifications of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds Live earplugs have been released. The wireless earplugs have a bean-shaped design and offer active noise canceling. The earplugs would cost about 190 euros.

The information is shared by the German tech site WinFuture, which also released details on the Galaxy Note 20- in Note 20 Ultrasmartphones. Been going there for longer rumors around about this Galaxy Buds Live, although no concrete specifications were known yet. However, it was expected that the earplugs would receive active noise canceling, which has now been confirmed by the information WinFuture.

According to WinFuture, the earplugs are internally known at Samsung as the ‘Bean’ earplugs, which is due to the shape of the earplugs. According to WinFuture, Samsung has designed the Galaxy Buds Light in this way, because such a design ‘should fill the ears of users better’. Samsung supplies rubber attachments in three different sizes.

The earplugs each receive a 12mm driver from AKG and have two integrated internal and external microphones. The earplugs each weigh 5.6 grams. The batteries in the earplugs should last 7.5 hours without noise canceling, WinFuture writes. To achieve that battery life, the so-called Always on Microphone must be turned off. It is used to execute voice commands via Bixby, Samsung’s voice assistant. If noise canceling and this microphone are used, WinFuture’s battery life will drop to 5.5 hours for music playback and 4.5 in combination with active noise canceling.

The earplugs come in a square housing with rounded corners. This also functions as a charger. In total, the earplugs must last up to 28 hours if the earplugs are repeatedly charged in the meantime. The included case can be charged wirelessly via the qi standard, but also has a USB-C connection.

WinFuture writes that Samsung will likely release the Galaxy Buds Live along with the upcoming Note 20 smartphones. Those phones are expected to be announced in August. The German tech site reports that according to ‘dealer information’ the wireless earplugs will cost around 190 euros, although this may differ per country.
