Trained at Saint-Amand Hainaut-Basket (SAHB), Salimata Koita, originally from the Paris region, played mainly in N2F during the previous exercise, after having played in the Women’s League for a few seconds with the pro-northern group at the start of the season. “She is a very young player (18 years old), who comes out of the Saint-Amand training center. I think her future is rather on post 4 (strong wing) because, if she measures 1.85 m, she has the wingspan of a girl of 1.90 m, which makes her a very good rebounder. After the departure of Leeza Burdgess, the chartrain coach wanted to give more mobility to his inner sector to stick to the DNA “speed” of his training. “She is extremely athletic and very mobile. We will try to develop it so that it can harden and give a few minutes at first. We want to make her work on station 4 so that she moves further and further away from the basket. Above all, she needs technical work. ”
In its “mission” to develop young shoots, this recruitment materializes a little more the “youth” turn taken by the club in recent years, with the arrivals of Camille Hillotte (18 years old) and Yohana Ewodo (19 years old), in 2019, or even the more recent one of Binta Dramé (17 years old).
The CCBF should continue shopping in the domestic sector, after also registering the departure of Emily Prugnières. “We hope for the arrival of a new interior. Things are pretty advanced, it should not take long, ”announces Benoît Marty. This recruit wanted by the coachrainrainrain would take place in a workforce of 11 players (against 10 last year). Elise Marié will be part of it since the vice-captain recently extended her lease for two years.
