Saint-Affrique: big novelty this year, the ice rink is set up on the town hall square

Organized by the municipal leisure-entertainment-youth center, dedicated activities begin in a week.

The first celebration is the opening, to young people and to all, of the ice rink which is always very successful and which, this year, it is a novelty, is established in the open sky on the town hall square.

The inauguration and opening are set for Friday, December 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Skaters of all ages will be able to slide their blades there, subject to weather conditions, until January 2, daily, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. (except December 25 and January 1) and on Saturday mornings, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Animations

With the Christmas holidays approaching, reservations for workshops, courses and youth activities are strongly recommended, as the number of places is limited. A Christmas decorations workshop in connection with the youth room and the Quai opens the ball on Wednesday, December 16, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (info at the Quai: 05 36 15 00 19). Through leisure tickets (1), the cultural service is offering from 22 December, at the Espace marionnette, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., two workshops for making hand puppets (from 7 years old) entitled Witches and demons, and two workshops around animated films (8-12 years old).

The Friends of the Arts organize, as usual, courses under the leadership of David Libourel (alias Daf) at the Mep. On the program, from 7 years old, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The bestiary of Chagall, Wednesday 23 December (drawings and painting) and A day in the future (BD) Wednesday 30. For 11-13 year olds and 14-17 year olds, it is in the youth room from December 21 that they will be able to enjoy activities supervised by two municipal leaders. (2).

Greeting card making on December 21 and 22, cinema (subject to reservation) Wednesday 23 and Monday 28, indoor football (subject to change) on Tuesday 22 and 29, Fifa 21 tournament on Tuesday 29, Just Dance challenge Wednesday 30 and free activities will be shared.

As for the youngest, 3-11 year olds, it is a trip to Africa, Asia and Europe that the entertainers of the Le Ludo leisure center have concocted. (3). Monday, December 21, Africa is in the spotlight with stories of collective games and the manufacture of African games.

Tuesday, December 22, Asia will take over via the production of Christmas candle holders / origami plus an ice rink activity (subject to change) and the Christmas film. On Wednesday 23 December, Europe will be in the square with the creation of greeting cards, a “speculos” workshop, the making of Christmas wreaths, games and the distribution of gifts as well as a Christmas snack.
