The weekend has left us death of a 70-year-old woman on the urban beach of sada, Playa Nueva. The causes of this death are being investigated and also why the beach did not have a lifeguard service at that time.
A private individual alerted 112 that he had pulled a woman who needed urgent medical assistance out of the water, he had found her floating. Nothing could be done to save his life. An autopsy has been performed to learn the details of his death, which occurred shortly before four in the afternoon at high tide.
Lifeguard service review
The City Council analyzes why at that time there were no lifeguards guarding that sandy area, according to municipal sources informed Radio Coruña Cadena SER. The City Council of Sada has hired 11 lifeguards this year, although most of them are monitoring busier beaches.
