When asked in the daily briefing with the press on the Italian amendment, presented by FdI, she responded clearly: “The Pnrr decree contains measures that concern the governance structure of the Pnrr and these aspects are effectively linked to the Italian recovery and resilience plan but there are other aspects that are not covered and have no connection with the Pnrr, such as this law on abortion.”

The amendment to the Pnrr was approved in the Budget Committee and will go to the vote in the Chamber. It provides that the Regions which are responsible for organizing the clinics “can avail themselves”, without burdening public finances, “of the involvement of third sector entities” with “qualified experience in maternity support”.
The EU’s reaction was immediately echoed by the secretary of +Europa, Riccardo Magi: “The use of the government’s Pnrr funds to introduce pro-life associations into counseling centers has nothing to do with the reforms of the recovery and resilience plan and the government’s use of these resources is entirely political. An offense against women, freedoms, dignity and a real approximate and improper use of Pnrr funds”.
