S.Match (Cora-Louis Delhaize) chose Nancy, one of its strongholds, to test its first convenience store. Opened on December 2, it is located on avenue du XXème Corps, a few minutes walk from the city center.
On 175 m², this creation clashes with the Carrefour Express which faces it. It’s not a classic supermarket but a new concept: a convenience store ultra-doped with on-site manufacturing and enriched with a pedestrian drive. Guided tour with its director, Jan Colas:
As soon as they enter, customers find a sushi stand, operated by Sky Kitchens (present in several stores in the Northeast). “It is a hit, beyond the performance of a sushi stand in a Match supermarket», emphasizes Jan Colas.

A host of products made on site are at the fingertips of customers in a 100% fresh area. Sushi and around sixty PPNS, “products prepared by us” in S.Match jargon.
The choice is vast and the presentation rewarding: whole pizzas (€4.50 to €7.95) or in slices (€2.50 the Savoyard), bruschettas (€4.95), sandwiches (€3.90 the ham- emmental), bowls of salads (€3.95 to €4.95), private label local cheese platter (€20.95/kg), etc.
For the most part, they are manufactured in a room, laid out like a container fitted out to the right of the entrance. Through its windows, customers can see two employees busily garnishing pizzas and sandwiches.
PS: In the video, the store manager took off his mask only during the interview sequences.
