The US ambassador to Japan has suggested that it is telling in itself that the Russians have to rely on the DPRK to try to rebuild their empire. But the Russians also claimed success. Although the Russians seem to be looking for ammunition wherever they can, things are still simmering on the front. “Russian sources continue to complain that Russian forces lack sufficient counter-battery capabilities and artillery ammunition in the face of ongoing Ukrainian counteroffensive activities,” the institute said, noting that Russian pro-war bloggers say Russian forces rely heavily on Lancet drones and 220mm and 300mm rounds for Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS), which are in limited supply.
