NEW YORK – A running woman was violently assaulted in broad daylight as she ran in Upper Manhattan, police said. The suspect approached her and sexually assaulted her by pointing a knife and robbed her, the woman in uniform added.
The victim was in Inwood at around 11:15 am Saturday on the long road Henry Hudson Parkway when a stranger would walk up to her and punch her in the face, according to the NYPD.
The suspect then showed her a knife and sexually assaulted the woman before stealing her personal belongings worth approximately $ 630.
The victim sustained multiple injuries, including his left eye, and was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.
He was last seen wearing a white hoodie and escaped on a dark motorcycle, police said. He is about 20 to 30 years old.
