Rumor: OnePlus 9 ‘Lite’ gets Snapdragon 865 soc – Tablets and Phones – News

OnePlus will introduce three OnePlus 9 models next year, according to rumors. The third model would be the 9E or 9 Lite and according to a new rumor it is the cheapest version, with a Snapdragon 865 soc. The other models get the Snapdragon 888.

The three OnePlus 9 phones were to be released simultaneously. In recent years, OnePlus has always released two models; a regular version and a Pro version. According to Android Central there will also be a Lite model and will get a Snapdragon 865-soc from this year. Android Central has more often announced specifications of phones that have not yet been announced.

There have been rumors about a third OnePlus 9 device for some time. Previously referred to by insider Max Jambor as the OnePlus 9E. He says in a response to the article from Android Central that he would be surprised if the name changed to OnePlus 9 Lite, but he confirms that the third model is a ‘cheaper flagship’.

Android Central reports no further specifications of the OnePlus 9 Lite, but says it will soon be able to tell more. It is not yet known what the third model will look like. From the regular OnePlus 9 a photo already appeared and of the OnePlus 9 Pro are renders made from CAD files. Those two models are reportedly getting the Snapdragon 888, Qualcomm’s new 5nm soc with integrated 5G modem.
