There is more on earth than Chinese clones of tablets though. You quickly draw a conclusion. The software is also completely irrelevant for kiosk stands. So you get all kinds of things that don’t matter for that purpose.

I see things like this happening to Apple products very often. You see a comparison of Apple products of 500 euros (example amount) with alternatives of 50 euros and forget the rest of the market for a while. With laptops, you also see comparisons between $1000+ Macbooks and a $300 Acer. Yes, of course the 1000+ is slightly better, but there’s more on earth than $300 Acer.

The fact that you have a preference for a POS system (which is not a kiosk stand) on Apple hardware can of course be because there are certain advantages. But it could also be because your comparison material is a bit skewed. That’s what I get from your ‘Chonese clones’ conclusion. In my time when I was still making things with xcode for Apple devices, I didn’t always find that fun and Apple also far from reliable. They are happy to demolish things in the simulator, xcode and elsewhere at random times.

For Kiosk, Kassa, etc. Windows Embedded devices, or some somewhat better Android tablets from more well-known brands are not a bad idea at all.

Your response only tells me one thing; you pick up an ipad because you know it and that’s it. You have absolutely no insight into the rest of the market. Even if you pretend.
