A good deed before the holidays touched Smolyan. Yesterday at about 1 pm, on a pedestrian path in the area of Dr. Bratan Shukerov Hospital, a 49-year-old woman found an envelope with a large sum of money. The resident of the village of Smilyan reported the money found to the police. The uniformed officers reacted immediately, took the amount and took it for storage to the local district police department, until the owner is found.
When reviewing the contents of the envelope, it was found that there is an amount of BGN 2,251 in it, there are also documents certifying their owner – a medical laboratory located in the hospital building. Meanwhile, an employee from the same laboratory called 112 to report a lost amount of money from their courier, who was to transport them and hand them over to its central office. Thus, after confirmation of the contents of the envelope, the money was returned to an employee of the medical institution.
The leadership of the OD of the Ministry of Interior – Smolyan expressed public gratitude for the dignified act and the active civil position of the woman.
