The United States ambassador to the Dominican Republic stressed that it is important that the elections to be held this year in the country be fair, free and transparent.
“Democracy is a value that we share and I know that Dominicans want elections to be fair, free and transparent, as we also want,” said Robin Bernstein when leaving the meeting for the presentation of the Master Tourism Plan for the development of Pedernales sponsored by the Government Dominican.
The diplomat expressed her support for the process carried out by the Central Electoral Board.
“We are happy to collaborate with the Central Electoral Board (JCE) as other countries have expressed and it is important that the elections be fair, free and transparent and that the Dominicans know the process and we support the process that exists,” said the US diplomat.
