There is a serious threat that the Berlicum singer John de Bever and his husband Kees Stevens will be robbed of their Rolex watches. The couple received a visit from the police on Wednesday evening. As a result of the threat, John de Bever will no longer go to performances and other occasions alone in the near future. It concerns ‘a pair of Rolex watches for about 5000 euros’, says Kees, who is still very shocked by the news.

He and John went to bed on Wednesday evening when suddenly the doorbell rang. The thieves probably saw the watches in the couple’s TV series, De Bevers. “We started shooting in February. It all went very quickly. We never thought about what we could and could not wear. You think you can wear beautiful watches in this country, but apparently you can’t.”
The watches are sold quickly. “We are very resolute about that. We are not going to run any risks,” says Kees. “The police were also clear about it, by the way. It is simply best not to put them on anymore, the agents say.”
