No new deaths have been reported. Four people have been hospitalized. The seven-day average has fallen from 453 per day to 410 per day. The number of deaths is on average 0.3 per day.
National figures
2350 new corona infections were reported to RIVM until 10:00 this morning. That is 605 less than yesterday.
On average, the number of positive corona tests is also falling: in the past seven days, an average of 3501 positive tests were registered per day. That is 46 percent less than the seven days before.
The figures also mean another halving compared to the same day a week earlier. On Sunday, July 25, about 4600 positive tests were reported, a week earlier there were even more than 10,000.
The number of corona patients in hospitals is still increasing. There are now 683 people with corona in hospital, compared to 667 yesterday. Of them, 187 are in intensive care, six more than yesterday. This is reported by the National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution.

Which figures does Rijnmond use?
We use the figures that the RIVM publishes every day at 3:15 pm on this page. These figures come from the GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond and the GGD Zuid-Holland Zuid, but can deviate from the corona dashboard per day.
This can be for various reasons, for example the time at which the figures are entered and the fact that our region consists of two GGDs. Both GGDs have a different method for determining the daily figures. By using the same source every day, we have the best view of developments over several days and weeks.
