Risk level in IJsselland and North and East Gelderland dropped from ‘serious’ to ‘worry’ | Region

The corona situation in the safety regions of IJsselland and North and East Gelderland improved last week. That is why, as of today, these regions are no longer at risk level ‘serious’, but ‘worrying’. That is the second lowest level of the Corona dashboard of the central government. Flevoland remains at the highest risk level, ‘very serious’.

The risk level of the security regions is determined on the basis of 2 figures: the number of positive corona tests and the number of hospital admissions. The highest number is decisive when determining the risk level.

In the IJsselland region, there were 99 positive tests on 100,000 inhabitants and 15 hospital admissions per 1 million inhabitants last week. Because the number of positive test results has fallen below 100, the region was able to reduce a risk level.

In North and East Gelderland there were 78 corona cases per 100,000 inhabitants and 13.2 per million people with corona had to be hospitalized. Both figures cause the risk level to fall.

There are 4 other regions listed as ‘worrying’. This concerns Central and West Brabant, Brabant-North, Brabant-Southeast and Limburg-North.

Risk level Flevoland unchanged

The situation in Flevoland has not yet improved. Because there were 35 hospital admissions per 1 million people last week, the risk level of this security region remains at ‘very serious’.
