Rheinfelden: Benefiting from the daycare law – Rheinfelden

Further funding from the state of Baden-Württemberg is available through the “Pact for good education and care” program, according to which the respective day-care center managers and their deputies can be funded. Six hours per management plus two hours per additional daycare group are subsidized.

Compared to other municipalities in the area, Rheinfelden is still a little behind. Nevertheless, there is already financial compensation for the daycare management, according to the administrative bank. In addition, there is money from the state if a municipality increases the number of its PiA trainees by at least 25 percent. In the past three years, the number of trainees in Rheinfelden in 18 daycare centers has increased from eight to 15. With a monthly grant of 200 euros per trainee, this alone amounts to an impressive amount. And so the funding for 2021 has already been applied for.

Basically, PiA has led to an improved number of applicants. Cimander and Zimmermann, however, once again emphasized the importance of training, both classic and PiA, to counteract the shortage of skilled workers.

As Zimmermann announced, a financial increase for day-care center managers and their deputies will be discussed in the near future. The subject of exemption from management is also on the table, especially since the tasks are becoming more and more complex, as Pastor Joachim Kruse also noted in the social welfare committee. Furthermore, Peter Schwander from the Caritas Association suggested a focus allowance, such as that available in Weil am Rhein.
