OM is offering 10,000 euros for golden tip supermarket robberies

The Public Prosecution Service offers a reward of 10,000 euros for the golden tip about the perpetrators of a ram raid and a robbery at two Jumbo branches in Alkmaar and Haarlem. The same perpetrators are probably behind the incidents. That was announced in the TV program Investigation Requested.

The perpetrators first struck on Saturday morning, April 4, when they rammed into a supermarket with a delivery van in Haarlem. This happened when employees were busy with the cash registers and an ATM. The perpetrators then jumped out of the bus, grabbed what they could get and fled on a black scooter that was standing there.

More than a month later, on Wednesday 20 May, two helmeted offenders in Alkmaar again raided a Jumbo branch where an ATM was being refilled at that time. Inside, they threatened customers and employees before fleeing. These two people also rode a black scooter, possibly a Gilera Runner.

“It seems that the perpetrators had insider information about when cash could be stolen,” police said. People who have more information about the possible perpetrators or the scooter or scooters used are called upon to report.

A 51-year-old man from Alkmaar was recently arrested on the basis of DNA research. His role in the robberies is being investigated.
