On Monday evening, unknowns set fire to a van in the Brussels Marolles. The incident took place around 9:30 PM in Nieuwlandstraat. Strangers pushed a van close to a crèche that had also been the target of vandals last weekend and set the vehicle on fire.

Several police patrols arrived on the scene, as well as the Brussels fire brigade, which was able to extinguish the fire. The fire brigade was now able to extinguish the burning car without being pelted with Molotov cocktails. This probably also has to do with the fact that the police came to the scene en masse, including with the water cannon. Suspects have not yet been arrested. In recent days and weeks, there have been several incidents between the emergency services and mainly young residents of the neighborhood.
