The national day of hospital staff initiatives and strikes, scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, is being relayed in the department by the CGT and FO Santé unions in Eure-et-Loir.
They don’t want to be the “forgetful heroes.” Caregivers, midwives, workers, administrative workers, nurses, educators and even radio operators: hospital staff are called to strike on Tuesday, June 16, to defend their professions, and to put pressure on the government, in full Health safety.
Actions in Chartres and Dreux
The CGT and FO Health unions of Eure-et-Loir planned two highlights during this day of mobilization on June 16: the first rally is scheduled at 10:30 am in front of the Dreux hospital, followed by a demonstration, starting from 3 p.m. in Chartres. The procession will leave from the Hôtel-Dieu to reach the prefecture of Eure-et-Loir. Wearing a mask will be compulsory during those two gatherings.

The caregivers invite the users to come and join them and thus demonstrate their solidarity with the movement. “Applauding caregivers is no longer enough!” We must act now. It’s everyone’s health that is at stake. We suggest that those who wish to do so take one day of RTT to come and demonstrate with us, ”explains Chantal Lefèvre, departmental secretary of CGT Santé.
The health crisis has exposed the difficulties denounced by health professionals for several years. “We had to open beds urgently. We found ourselves strangled because of the lack of means. At Chartres hospital, we had to find beds with a rental company, due to the lack of sufficient equipment, “said Arnault Pionnier, departmental secretary of FO Santé.

The trade unions are demanding “a salary increase for all of € 300 net per month”, and “a 180 degree shift in the health system”, with in particular “the cancellation of all hospital debts”.
