Residents Are Afraid of Swabs, Corona Death Rate in Tuban Soars to 20 People Per Day

Liputan6.com, Tuban – The death rate due to Covid-19 in the District Tuban continues to grow during the implementation of the Emergency PPKM which has started from 3 to 20 July 2021.

The total number of deaths recorded in Tuban has reached 612 people from the cumulative total exposed to the corona virus which reached 4,848 cases, Sunday (11/7/2021). The average Covid-19 death rate reaches 20 people per day.

“On average, 15 to 20 people die a day,” said Dr. Bambang Priyo Utomo, Head of the Tuban Health Office, Monday (12/7/2021).

The trigger for the high mortality rate in Tuban because people are still afraid of the swab test. So that detecting people who have been exposed to the corona virus is considered late until they finally get medical treatment or hospitalization.

“People who are swab are still afraid, so it is detected a bit late, then they feel cramped before going to hospitalization,” he said.

The Covid-19 Task Force advised the public to remain disciplined in complying with the rules for implementing the Covid-19 Emergency PPKM. The reason is that this policy is in order to control the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia Tuban more effectively,
