Renovation gem Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 has been given a Switch date

Two months after that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 was confirmed for the Nintendo Switch, the version has an official release date. The game arrives at the hybrid console on June 25, Activision revealed on Wednesday.

The critically acclaimed refurbishment project was originally launched in August 2020, followed by versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S in March. The package sold faster than any other game in the series, with one million copies torn away during the first week of the game.

Solid collection package

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 brings together the series’ first two skate games in one package, and gives it several more coats of new paint. All the original characters are included – including Chad Muska, Rodney Mullen and of course Tony Hawk himself – plus various newcomers. Virtually all the songs from the games’ classic soundtracks are also in place.

From the mechanical, the developer has put together a more streamlined experience, with some features that did not really come until later in the series. Exactly this was a stroke of genius by Vicarious Visions, wrote Espen Jansen in our review of the game.

– Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a beautiful nostalgia package for those who grew up with and loved the earliest games in the series. Both the first two games have been refurbished with all the tracks, the same professional skaters and the same unforgettable soundtrack.
