Render shows Oppo’s Apple Watch clone with curved screen edges

Apple is the market leader in smartwatches, so it is not surprising that we regularly see a clone appear on the market. That seems to be happening again soon. A render has appeared of a smartwatch made by Oppo. The Chinese smartphone producer has looked closely at the Apple Watch, but also seems to be doing something unique.

It is not news that they are working on a smartwatch at Oppo. The company already announced last December that work was being done on a smart watch. To warm up the audience, this message was accompanied by an image showing only the silhouette. Then there is a chance that the leaked render is actually the smartwatch that Oppo is working on.

If you look quickly, you might think it’s one Apple Watch is. If you look better, you will soon discover a number of differences. To start with, the buttons on the side. Oppo has chosen not to take over the Digital Crown from Apple, but to replace it with an extra button. In addition, we also see something striking that the Apple Watch does not have.

The screen seems to get curved screen edges. The Apple Watch has sloping edges, but the screen itself is not curved. Whether Oppo only does this to make their smartwatch visually appealing or whether it actually has a function is still unclear.

Oppo may also take over functions

Despite the curved screen edges and the absence of the Digital Crown, it is obvious that Oppo is good at the Apple Watch has watched. Not only in appearance, but also in terms of functions. Earlier this week it was leaked that the Oppo will also take over popular functions such as the electrocardiogram (or ecg).
