REMODELING – Warehouse and logistics center of Las Américas airport cost more than 200 million pesos

With an investment of more than 200 million pesos, the Dominican Airports Company XXI Century (Aerodom), VINCI Airports, together with Dominican Dufry, inaugurated a new logistics center and warehouse at the José Francisco Peña Gómez Las Americas International Airport.

The new logistics center and warehouse will make it possible to streamline and optimize the process of entering goods and restoring the inventory of stores located in the terminal.

Likewise, it will allow greater agility in the process of restoring store inventory, greater efficiency in the entry of goods to the terminal, strengthening security control by having a single centralized point of access to merchandise, as well as offering a service Effective unloading of merchandise.

The structure put into service, was built in an area of ​​2,300 square meters and built in reinforced concrete and metal structure,

It has the ability to store and meet the present and future needs of Dufry stores thanks to six-storey shelves. Additionally, the center hosts the corporate offices of Dominican Dufry.

In the ceremonial act of inauguration of the new premises, the Swiss ambassador was present in the country; the general director of Aerodom, Monika Infante; Dufry regional manager Juan Antonio Nieto; Julio Nova, general manager of the company for the Dominican Republic at the airport and other executives.

On the other hand, the Dominican Dufry company opened a renovated store at the Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata, with an investment of 1.4 million dollars.

The remodeling included the extension of the space from 600 m² to 1,142 m² and the offer of its products, as well as the renovation of its decoration. .
