Restoring the OS through Windows Update allows you to download the latest available version of Windows 11 and install it over the current version of the OS while preserving installed applications, games, settings, etc. After reinstalling the OS in this way, the user should get a “relatively clean” system without any software errors.

To use this tool, just go to “System Recovery Settings” and click the “Reinstall Now” button. After confirming the action, the user will be redirected to Windows Update, where you can find and download the appropriate version of the OS. The whole process looks similar to how updates are searched for and downloaded in stable versions of the OS. When exactly this innovation may appear in stable versions of Windows 11 is still unknown.
