A Final Fantasy 14 player waited three years for a flower similar to the one to bloom in his favorite character’s hair.
sunfaller redditor on subreddit Final Fantasy XIV has revealed that it originally bought the Epiphyllum cactus because it looks like a flower in the hair of Yotsuyu Go’s antagonist Brutus. However, it took three years for the cactus to flower.
It’s hard to say what is the reason for such a long wait, but it is known that Epiphyllum should not take three years to flower. Flowering requires enough direct sunlight, but not too much to damage the cactus. A balance of light and direct sunlight is needed, as well as fairly regular watering. Since the cactus grows in Central and South America, it is understandable why it needs some sun.
As for choosing a favorite character, that’s also interesting, but the antagonists can be loved too.
