The suspect in the murder of rapper Takeoff has been arrested and charged.

On November 1, Kirshnik Khari Ball (28), known under the artist pseudonym Takeoff in the hugely successful rap group Migos, shot and killed. Two others were also injured in the shooting.
A rep for the rapper confirmed the death Opposite APwho wrote that he was shot outside a bowling alley in the southern city of Houston, Texas.
One person has now been arrested and charged with the murder.
The suspect was arrested in Houston last night, according to Houston Police Chief Troy Finner. Another man was charged with illegal carrying of a weapon in connection with the November 1 incident.
During a press conference, the police chief thanked Takeoff’s family for their patience during the investigation, according to Deadline. He also says of the rapper:
“We have lost a good man. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him, but everyone, hundreds of people have talked about what a great person he was.”
Troy Finner has previously said police did not believe Takeoff was “involved in anything criminal at the time” of the shooting. A fight allegedly broke out at a private party in a bowling alley where at least 40 people were present.
During today’s press conference, police described Takeoff as an “innocent bystander” of the shooting.
The Migos trio has been among the biggest American hip hop artists of recent years.
The most famous member of the Migos is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, known under the pseudonym Offset and married to rap star Cardi B.
Migos started in 2008 and has been kind of a family business. Takeoff was Quavo’s nephew, while Quavo and Offset are cousins.
In 2017, the trio played at Øyafestivalen and stayed praised by VG reviewer.
