Railroad workers are threatening to stop all traffic as part of the strike, Grishina said.
Employees of Ukrzaliznytsia intend to hold a strike in two weeks, stopping all types of traffic. This was stated by the head of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada for checking and assessing the state of Ukrzaliznytsia, People’s Deputy Yulia Grishina in Facebook.
She said that one of the three railway workers’ trade unions was heard at the meeting, while representatives of two more did not show up.
“The labor collective is in despair, in two weeks a major strike is planned with the suspension of all types of transportation. The commission is already working with all these materials,” Grishina wrote.
At the meeting of the VSK, she also discussed the unsatisfactory state of implementation of the requests of the VSK sent to the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and decided to invite the heads of law enforcement agencies to the next meeting.
“The active work of the commission of inquiry continues. The goal of our VSK is to investigate the” contribution “of each head of the UZ, the Supervisory Board and possible counterparties to bringing Ukrzaliznytsia to a critical state,” Grishina emphasized.
VSK will investigate the operational, investment and financial activities of Ukrzaliznytsia in the period from 2015, since it is from this time that the company’s condition has been rapidly deteriorating.
Recall, March 17 Cabinet dismissed the head of Ukrzaliznytsia Vladimir Zhmak, who was appointed in August last year.
A month before that, near the building of the Cabinet of Ministers passed meeting of UZ employees demanding Zhmak’s resignation due to possible redundancies.
Later, Ukrzaliznytsia promised that in May – June all employees of the company will be transferred from a four-day five-day work week.
Also Ukrzaliznytsya within the framework of the reform will cut almost a third of the state central office.
