The European Union is asking for more barrels, OPEC throws the can. Unable to give up on gas supplies immediately, Brussels is studying a possible Moscow oil embargo. Pressures from Kiev are mounting on the Commission to hit Russia’s energy exports as soon as possible but the serious state of dependence in which the old continent finds itself is binding the hands of its political leaders.
