Public rejects opportunistic Henkjes merger PvdT, but crazy Krol sees “25 seats” in the offing! – The Daily Standard

In recent days, there was a lot of attention for the split-off Henken: Krol and Otten. They join the Party for the Future, and they dream of ten seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections. In a new poll, the Netherlands says en masse that it does not see any bread in it, but Krol nevertheless thinks that he has a chance of winning 25 Chamber seats.

Can you name someone in your area who has become really enthusiastic that the 50PLUS seat robber Henk Krol and the FVD seat robber Henk Otten have sobbed each other? Just one person? No, of course. It is an opportunistic collective that has only pioneered an ideology-poor merger out of fear of losing their job in politics.

And the Netherlands sees it en masse. As many as 73% of the respondents disagreed with the ‘Statement of the Day’ The Telegraph yesterday posited: “Party for the Future is a smart move.” “Is this going to throw high eyes?”, asked the newspaper of the awake Netherlands: “Just call!”

And that happened. As many as five thousand people left a comment, which was strongly dismissive of the Henk-en-Henk party, because three-quarters disagreed. Another 10% shrugged their shoulders and only 17% thought it was a “smart move” from the former 50PLUS and former FVD.

Quite a tap on the fingers, so. But leave it to Henk Krol to use the old adage that you “lies, damned lies and statisticsHave to breathe new life into it. Because where the rest of the world saw a condemnation of indecisive political opportunism, Henk saw “a potential of over 25 seats!” Which he reported this morning on Twitter.

Where to start debunking that statement? First, people were asked if they thought a merger was a smart move, not if they would ever vote for the party. I also think it would be smart if Asscher and Klaver merged the PvdA and GroenLinks, without ever considering giving my vote to that hypothetical left-wing merger club. But I could also be a fan of Henk Krol, and still want to vote for him, despite the fact that I would rather not have that covert Henk Otten.

In short: fact-free Henk may first take a refresher course in statistics before he ventures into the lead position of yet another new party. After all, political The Hague has absolutely no shortage of bashing charlatans without an official PvdT group.
