Jakarta (ANTARA) – The famous battle royale-themed game PUBG Mobile is preparing a new esports program with the largest number of prizes in the history of mobile gaming for 2021.

The biggest esports competition in the world titled PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) will be the main event next year, with a total prize pool of up to 14 million US dollars or around Rp. 198 billion.

With extraordinary achievements this year, where PUBG Mobile has managed to break records for the number of spectators and the number of teams competing, in next year’s competition program PUBG Mobile will offer more players to join.

In the 2021 program, PUBG Mobile will also introduce seven regional PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL) regions, including in the CIS, Turkey, Western Europe, Arab, North America, Latin America and Brazil, to complement the competition currently in South Asia. and Southeast Asia.

“2020 is a very special year for us, but this is just the beginning. We still have big ambitions to become the biggest esports player, we also show a big increase in total prizes and add to the regional total representation which we expect to increase in 2021,” said the PUBG Director MOBILE Global Esports James Yang in its official release on Wednesday.

The PUBG Mobile esports ecosystem was established in 2018 and in 2020 PMPL and PMCO have successfully supported all levels from amateur, semi-pro to professional in various countries and regions.

PUBG Mobile esports has seen over 100 million views in 2020 so far, more than one million viewers simultaneously watched the PUBG Mobile World League (PMWL) last August, and more than 120,000 teams signed up to compete for the grand prize this year. amounting to five million dollars or Rp.70.7 billion.

Next year, PUBG Mobile plans to build additional studios in a number of locations, with the first to be built in Katowice, Poland, in partnership with ESL.
