Film productions are a place where young actresses have the opportunity to present their skills and gain the recognition of the audience. In recent years, more and more talented Polish actresses of the young generation have appeared on the screens, attracting attention not only with their beauty, but also with charisma, versatility and professionalism. Filmmakers are increasingly reaching for these lesser-known names, introducing a new generation to the world of film.

Below we present some of the most promising actresses of the young generation, who may soon reach the heights of Polish cinematography. Belong to them:

Helena Englert – She appeared in front of the camera for the first time when she was only 2 years old in Juliusz Machulski’s “Superproduction”. In 2013, she played Kasia in the film Closed System by Ryszard Bugajski. Later, she played in the series: “Colors of happiness”, “Diagnosis”, “In the rhythm of the heart”, “Better half”, “War girls”, “Don’t worry about me” and “Znaki”. In 2023, she played the lead role in the erotic film “Pokusa” and the title role in the series “#BringBackAlice”. She is the daughter of actors Beata Ścibakówna and Jan Englert.
Michalina Łabacz – Playing the role of Zosia Głowacka in the film “Wołyń”, for which she was honored with the award for the best acting debut at the 41st Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. She has appeared in many film and theater productions. In 2020, she played Kaśka, a bride in Wojciech Smarzowski’s film “Wesele”. She also starred in the popular series “Belfer 2”. She is an actress of the National Theater in Warsaw.
Zofia Wichłacz – Laureate of the Eagle and the Gdynia Film Festival award for the leading female role in the film “Miasto 44”. In 2022, she played the role of Kassandra in the film “IO” directed by Jerzy Skolimowski, nominated for an Oscar and appreciated with awards, e.g. at the Cannes Film Festival.
Aleksandra Grabowska – She made her screen debut in the series “Julia”. A few years later, she also appeared in “Second Chance”. Only the series “Belfer” brought her recognition. Later, in several series, as well as in Patryk Vega’s film “Kobiety Mafii 2”. She also played the role of Julita in the series “Lovers” and the daughter of Jeremi Przybora in the series “Osiecka”, and now appears in new episodes of “For Good and for Bad”. Privately, she is the daughter of the well-known actor Piotr Grabowski.
Vanessa Alexander – She made her debut as a child in 2009 on the stage of the Rampa Theater in the play “Bastian’s World”. She made her debut on the small screen with an episodic role in the series “Ojciec Mateusz” in 2014. She became famous for her starring role in the TV series “War Girls”. Eliza Rycembel – Laureate of the Eagle and the award of the 44th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for the best supporting role in the film “Corpus Christi”. From the age of six, she studied ballet at the Hanna Kamińska Dance and Acting Studio at the General Ballet School. She performed, among others, in Teatr na Woli and Sala Kongresowa. We know her from her roles in “Promise”, “Carte blanche”, “Wszystko gra”, “Niewinne”, “Blind from the lights” or “Belfer 2”. She recently played the role of Kaśka Bliska in the film “Family Games”.
Paulina Szostak – Laureate of the Jan Machulski “Be an eagle, don’t lower your flights” for the role of Liza in “Sketches from Dostoyevsky” directed by Maja Komorowska. She is known to a wider audience for such productions as: “Belfer”, “Asymetry” or “Usta mouth”. She has collaborated with several theaters, and since 2014 she has been an actress at the National Theater in Warsaw.
Wanda March – The girl as a 13-year-old starred in the series “Rojst’97”. She played the role of Wanda Zarzycka in the Netflix production – the daughter of Piotr Zarzycki (played by Dawid Ogrodnik) and Teresa Zarzycka (Zofia Wichłacz). Interestingly, her mother, Magdalena Różczka, also played in the series, and her stepfather, Jan Holoubek, was the director of this production.
