MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on Monday (4/7/2022) conferring the titles of Russian heroes on Major General Esedulla Abachev Abdulmuminovich and Colonel General Alexander Lapin.

This title of heroes was given for their services during the liberation of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR).

On Sunday (3/7/2022), Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu informed Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the liberation of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) during a special military operation.

A day later, Putin congratulated the Russian military as well as the LPR on the victory. He asked to apply for awards to those who have done heroic acts.

One of the Russian heroes given the title is Major General Esedulla Abachev Abdulmuminovich.

This two-star Muslim general was Deputy Commander of the 8th Army Troops of the Southern Military District, the troop unit that participated in the siege and attack on Luhansk.

Earlier, the spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov reported that the Central group troops under the command of Lapin together with the southern group of troops had surrounded one of the main locations, the city of Lisichansk.
