Prince Haji Abdul Azim died at the age of 38. The second son of the King of Brunei Darussalam Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah is rumored to have been ill for quite some time.
Reporting from MEAWW, Saturday (24/10/2020), Prince Azim reportedly died at 10:08 local time. Prince Azim’s death was immediately announced by radio and television in the country.
“The son of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Prince Hj Abdul Azim passed away on 17 Rabiul early (24 October 2020) at 10:08 local time. The funeral will take place after Asr prayers tonight,” read an announcement from local television and radio.
This was also confirmed by a MEAWW source. Brunei will be in mourning for the next seven days, and all citizens must wear white.
“Muslim women must wear a white hood or head scarf, and non-Muslims are required to wear wide white long sleeves,” read instructions from local authorities.
Prince Azim himself was the second prince of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and his second wife, Hajah Mariam. Until now, it is not known what disease Prince Azim suffered until he died.
Prince Azim is a figure known for his eccentric fashion. She often attends fashion events in Hollywood such as the launch of the latest Coco De Mer lingerie collection. He has appeared in public with famous Hollywood artists such as Pamela Anderson and Mariah Carey.
