Six employees of Premier League clubs are found to be infected with the corona virus. The official competition body announced this on Tuesday by means of a statement.
On Sunday and Monday, a total of 748 tests were conducted on players and staff members working in the Premier League. Six of these – out of three clubs in total – have shown positive results: the infected persons will be quarantined for seven days. In connection with the legislation, the Premier League leaves in the middle who the six are and at which clubs they work.
The competition organ also leaves open whether these six infections affect the planned restart of the competition in June. The clubs reached an agreement on Monday to resume group training, on the understanding that the players may be in groups of up to five. Not everyone likes to play football again.
