A power failure at Zaandam station has a major impact on train traffic in North Holland on Thursday. There is currently no train traffic to and from Zaandam at all. Fewer trains are also running around Amsterdam for the time being.
For example, according to the NS, fewer trains are running on busy routes such as Amsterdam-Haarlem and Amsterdam-The Hague.
It is unclear how long this situation will last, NS reports. Rail manager ProRail is working hard to solve the problems.
“We advise travelers to check the website or the public transport app very carefully before departure,” says a spokesman for the NS.
