Possible Terrorist Attack Threatens Crimean Titan Plant and Surrounding Area

It is noted that due to the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and, as a result, the lack of water in the North Crimean Canal, production processes at the Crimean Titan plant in Armyansk have been disrupted to a critical level.

According to the GUR, the Russians consider it impossible to resume work in the minimum proper mode. On the territory of Armyansk, information is circulating about possible stop of “Crimean Titan”.

“At the same time, the engineering units of the occupying army of Muscovy over the past few days mine the shops of the enterprisewhich continue to work, as well as laying explosives on the factory and adjacent territory“, the message says.

Intelligence emphasizes that a terrorist attack at the Crimean Titan enterprise, for which the invaders are preparing, will mean an artificial man-made disaster, terrible in its consequences.

Thus, about 200 tons of technological ammonia are used in the refrigeration equipment of Krymsky Titan. In the event of an explosion at the plant, the ammonia cloud, depending on the direction of the wind, will cover nearby areas in half an hour.

Thus, under the threat, first of all, will be the occupied Armyansk, Krasnoperekopsky district and the southern districts of the Kherson region.

The GUR also reported that Russians are preparing for the evacuation of representatives of the occupation administration and the local population from Armyansk.

“Crimean Titan”

Before the Russian occupation, the plant was the largest producer of titanium dioxide in Eastern Europe. The enterprise is located near the city of Armyansk on the Perekop Isthmus, which connects Crimea with the mainland of Ukraine.

It should be noted that in August 2018, an accident and the release of hazardous substances have already occurred at the Crimean Titan plant. Then the Russians stopped the work of the enterprise, but in October they resumed it. Later, residents of Crimea and southern Ukraine complained about new emissions, but the occupiers ignored calls to stop the plant.

At the end of May, Crimean partisans reported that the Russians had begun to mine the Crimean Titan plant.

In early June, the head of the Kherson OVA Alexander Prokudin believes that the invaders may be preparing a provocation at the plant in order to later blame Ukraine. The explosion will entail the release of thousands of tons of toxic substances into the atmosphere and may lead to an environmental disaster.
