With another defeat, the winter preparations of regional football league player Viktoria Aschaffenburg came to an end. On Saturday, head coach Jochen Seitz’s team lost 2-1 (1-1) to Eintracht Frankfurt’s U21s. For the start of the remaining lap on Saturday in Fürth, a clear increase in performance is now required.

Seitz wanted his team to run hard against the leaders of the Hessenliga during the dress rehearsal in the drizzle of Rüsselsheim-Königstädter, where the test match was played on the SV Alemannia pitch. In addition, creative ideas forward. After the game he couldn’t be satisfied overall – especially with the second half.

Before the break it was an even game with few chances for either side. That only changed when Ben-Luca Fischer made it 1-0 for the Hessians after a corner (24th), where the Aschaffenburg team hadn’t defended well. But because Niklas Meyer equalized a few minutes later after a rehearsed standard variation, it went 1-1 into the dressing room. The Frankfurters were closer to taking the lead again, who had had a little more of the game and also had one or two chances.

But the SVA keeper Max Grün parried as well as the attempts of the reserve force after the change of sides. The ex-Bundesliga goalkeeper was only powerless against an additional shot from SGE signing Paxton Aaronson – the deserved 1:2 defeat from Viktoria’s point of view was perfect. Too few offensive actions of their own and an individual mistake before the second goal conceded prevented a better result in a tough game.

After the recent defeats against the Hessian regional league teams TSV Steinbach-Haiger (0:3) and FSV Frankfurt (0:2), it was another setback for the third in the regional league Bayern. The 1-0 win against TuS Unfortunately on Thursday doesn’t hide that either.

And so Seitz is hoping for a clear improvement from his team for the first league game on Saturday at Greuther Fürth II (2 p.m.): »We definitely have to improve, otherwise it will be difficult to take something with us in Fürth. But the team will be aware of that.«
