The peak night for the awarding of the title of Mrs Sri Lanka 2020 ended in a fight, because the winner’s crown was forcibly removed by the 2019 edition champion who accused her of being divorced.

The crown winner of Sri Lanka’s 2020 beauty queen contest, Pushpika De Silva, who was forcibly removed for alleged divorce, was finally returned.
Pushpika’s crown was forcibly removed by the 2019 Mrs Sri Lanka champion, who suspected she was divorced and unworthy of the title.
The incident, which continued on stage bickering on Sunday (4/4/2021), left Pushpika injured in the head, and he will file a lawsuit.
