On Saturday 1 August, the police in Trøndelag were notified when the remains of a person were found in Lake Holden in Steinkjer.
On Tuesday, the police state that they have identified the remains. It concerns Asbjørn Foldahl, a man born in 1918 who was reported missing in September 1981.
Foldahl was at that time on a boat trip with an acquaintance. The police state that he fell out of the boat, and that he later died. He was 63 years old.
The man’s relatives have been notified of the case.
