Biden said on Tuesday that he was “not confident” that he would have sought to win a second term in the elections scheduled for the end of next year if his Republican predecessor, Donald Trump, had not run for these elections.

The 81-year-old Democratic president said during a fundraising campaign in the city of Weston, Massachusetts (northeast), “If Trump had not run, I would not have been confident that I would have run. However, we cannot let him win.”
