London / Brussels – Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) demands a contribution discount for EU net payers. “We insist on permanent net corrections to prevent excessive budget imbalances and achieve a fair, sustainable solution,” Kurz wrote in an article for the “Financial Times”, co-signed by the premiers of the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden. It will appear just a few days before the EU summit on Thursday, when the budget will be a big issue.
