The images posted on social media show police officers being beaten when trying to arrest two men.

PSP confirmed to the TVI that the suspects, aged 25 and 31, are occupants of the vehicle that collided with a passenger bus.

In a statement, PSP says that “the PSP agents went to the scene of the incident where, after the dialogue with the actors and the verification of the lack of qualification to drive, the 25-year-old driver and the passenger of the vehicle driven by him, started to attack the four police officers. who took note of the occurrence data, which led to the arrest of the two men “.

“In view of these facts, there was a need to fire two shots into the air in order to be able to proceed with the arrest of the two individuals, given the physical complexity of the suspects, the aggressive way in which they reacted towards the policemen and given the gathering of people in the that tried to impede the performance of the police service “, adds the statement.

The two individuals, suspected of committing the offense of offenses against qualified physical integrity and resistance and coercion over an employee, were eventually arrested and were brought to court this Thursday.

The four agents had to receive hospital treatment.
