Police report two people for riding on scooters dressed as Nazarenes | Radio Sevilla

The Local Police of Utrera (Seville) has denounced a father and his son for going out to the street dressed as Nazarenes and riding an electric scooter and thus breaching the movement restrictions in force due to the state of alarm, after they have been identified following a video posted on social networks.

According to the local City Council in a Facebook post, the event occurred on March 20, when several videos were posted virally on Menéndez Pelayo Street, where a Nazarene with a cross was riding on an electric scooter.

Inside the house where the Nazarene dress is introduced, its inhabitant is identified and it is verified that the bracelet is the same that appears in the videos and photographs. After the agents interviewed him to investigate what happened, he acknowledged that he and his son were the authors and protagonists of the video, and states that they did not think it would have such an impact, expressing his regret and apologizing to those who felt offended.

Despite this, considering the facts as a disobedience by failing to comply with the restrictive measures of freedom of movement decreed in declaration of the state of alarm, the Local Police have denounced them to the Sub-delegation of the Government of Spain in Seville when considering the commission of an infraction to article 36.5 of the Citizen Security Law.

This is the second event of its kind this week in Utrera. On Thursday it became known that the Civil Guard has denounced five people in the town for breaching the restrictions by having danced in the middle of the street in daylight and emulating a Holy Week procession, with two of these people dressed in Nazarene costumes and one more carrying on itself what appears to be a board covered by a cloth and crowned by a cross, as if it were a step.

The people denounced are two men who, would correspond to those who starred in the scene with Nazarene costumes, and three women, a video circulating on social networks in which these people dance in the middle of the street to the rhythm of processional music mixed with electronic rhythms, emulating also a processional march with other people around him.
