The police have arrested six people this evening who are suspected of involvement in a large cocaine line from Curaçao to the Netherlands. This happened in raids in various places.

The police carried out searches at thirteen locations, including Hengelo, Enschede, Vlaardingen, IJmuiden, Amsterdam and Vreden (Germany). A specialized Defense search team was deployed and drug and money dogs were present. Equipment was used to look into the walls of houses and sheds.

The police do not want to say anything about the amount of (possible) cocaine found. Other items may also have been seized. “If they find interesting and valuable goods, the present detectives will ‘take them’ because they may have been bought with criminal money,” the police said.
