The Yaoundé native, renowned for his huge volume of play, his generosity in efforts but also recognized for his big heart off the pitch has died following a heart attack.

38 times international with the Indomitable Lions, Modeste M’Bami had left a good memory in Ligue 1, passing through Sedan (2000-2003), the Paris Saint-Germain (2003-2006), Marseille Olympics (2006-2009) or even Le Havre (2014-2016).
By profession a defensive midfielder, he was one of the figures of Ligue 1 in the 2000s. During his career, Modeste M’Bami notably won the 2000 Olympics and a French Cup in 2004.
