Police officers pelted with pavement tile: fear is good at it Inland

Two police officers who were in the car were released with shock and were virtually unharmed. But the police report published Thursday afternoon shows that things could have ended much worse. The criminal investigation department has therefore started an investigation to find the perpetrators. The police speak of an “absurd and life-threatening action” and report an attempted manslaughter and / or attempted serious assault and destruction.

The tile was thrown towards the police car in Amsterdam South shortly after midnight. On the Lutmastraat, approximately at the level of the intersection with Burgemeester Tellegenstraat, the officers suddenly heard “a huge blow and glass clink”. The glass splinters literally flew the agents in the face. “It then appears that there is a large hole in one of the rear windows. At the foot of the back seat is a pavement tile. There is no trace of a possible perpetrator or perpetrators, ”says the Amsterdam unit.

Witnesses or people with camera or dashcam images are requested to report to the police.
